Like a smoothie with interesting flavors in it, this Gulls Window Circus seems to have a different sound/scene in almost every track, but recording the show I noticed it was a holy flow, so what may read as chaotic choices work well when blended together in sound.

A Gulls Window Circus show that is simply well-selected tracks that go all over the place genre-wise, with art rock, acoustic rock, indie rock, psychedelic rock as middle ground, with single song sidetracks to Celtic rock (The Templars Of Doom), HC (Strung Out), thrash (Ruinside) and soul (Myron & E With The Soul Investigators). When taken as a bundle it all works together, so climb in!

Free Your Mind… and Your Ass Will Follow was the title of a 1970 Funkadelic LP, but it is also a call to shed the shackle of genre and sound in your music taste. Without consciously choosing to do so, my own tastes have widened considerably in recent years. Now there are only two types of music: good music and bad music. This Gulls Window Circus show crosses a lot of lines while still harnessing a collection of good music tracks that work well together. The Lifesavas and Drool Brothers tracks have been going through my mind all week.
