ulls Window Circus goes into the spiderwebs of time to extract regional artists from the 00s that either never found audiences outside their cities, or have been forgotten with time. In the latter category, Tampa band Pee Shy (see the Anaconda remake to get the name) were an excellent indie band, The Fly Seville and The Push Stars were Boston/Cambridge based. I can personally speak to all three having enthusiastic followings in their prime. Big Bad Bollocks, with a 1999 track in this show, recently opened for Dropkick Murphys (on St Paddy’s day) so they are still happening. Another Boston band Future Carnivores is here too, and a Long Island band Delights Of Nothing too. Kioku plays experimental jazz, DJ Sid plays dreamy beats, and Dave Coles tells a story about Wisconsin. But leaving alone where the artists are based, every track in this show is a jewel that only requires your ear for validation.
