Electronic show with a few outliers – show opener Mick Ronson makes sense when you consider it precedes Angela Bowie. Does the fact that she is covering The Ramones make sense? You tell me. An Iggy Pop track from the LP he did with Josh Homme, and Johnny Thunders & Patti Palladin. Those are your rock tracks. The rest of this show is filled with well chosen obscurities and re-edits that should well please you.

Rock show that starts with krautrock (Harmonia) and jazz (Baird Hersey with Dave Leibman) and soul-jazz (Stanton Davis’ Ghetto Mysticism) before landing squarely in rock, with a few detours to other tracks from the above, plus a track from Trinidad & Tobago with Shadow. The show closes with Australian band Hitmen sounding a lot like The Dictators.

Rock show that like Austin TX, ‘keeps it weird’ – the show starts with Claudia Bonarelli’s glitch, then proto-witch house from Psychic Reality before breaking into chaos with M’Lumbo. Then off to France for Jean-pierre Massiera disco-not-disco. At that point the rock starts, though not without other detours, like the track by Manchester’s Andi Hanley. NYC no wave artist Mark Cunningham (Mars) in his Spain Raeo guise appears next. The Revenge re-edits an Ian Dury, making it non-recognizable except for moments. Krakow’s Marcin Swietlicki does a track. I want to make sure you hear the Boots For Dancing track – I love that band!

The first 6 tracks are a short tribute to David Bowie who passed away 1/10/16 (this show aired 1/12/16). Capturing my feelings on the subject Love Unlimited say it perfectly. After the Bowie segment, the show is an electronic/re-edit one. Closing track ‘Sending My Love’ is a great one, by the way.

Three things gong on: Electronic/disco/re-edit, African, and rock. Osmose does a Billy Idol edit ,which I guess is both rock AND re-edit. Africa is covered by Musi-O-Tunya and Amanaz. Rock would be late-period The Honeys, Marilyn Rovell’s band (one-time wife of Brian Wilson), Martin Rev, The Sunday Painters, Ashra and Lizzy Mercier Descloux. Vakula ‎closes the show with a track from his ‘Dedicated To Jim Morrison’ LP, providing one more tie between rock and electronic in this show.

Rock show with some awesome tracks, and lovingly paired one, like Crime followed by La Peste. Ngozi Family show Zamrock fits in a hard rocking’ show, and Liquid Liquid show they can fit anywhere. Buzzcocks bassist Steve Garvey appears in 1980 as Bok Bok, and Ned Doheny closes out the show smoothly.

Part one is a rock show till the last 2 songs, part 2 is an electronic/re-edit show. My fave track for the electronic part would be the track by Record Mission (Nick The Record and Dan Tyler of Idjut Boys). For the rock part, Gloria Jones used to sing with Marc Bolan on all his late period stuff. The 2 Iggy & Yoko tracks are interesting for fans of either artist. Probably my fave of the rock tracks is the Timmy’s Organism track, though the Lizzy Mercier Descloux version of Mission Impossible is irresistible.
