Part one is a rock show till the last 2 songs, part 2 is an electronic/re-edit show. My fave track for the electronic part would be the track by Record Mission (Nick The Record and Dan Tyler of Idjut Boys). For the rock part, Gloria Jones used to sing with Marc Bolan on all his late period stuff. The 2 Iggy & Yoko tracks are interesting for fans of either artist. Probably my fave of the rock tracks is the Timmy’s Organism track, though the Lizzy Mercier Descloux version of Mission Impossible is irresistible.

Back in the 00 J-pop days, Masanori Ikeda recorded as Mansfield and Montparnasse. Now he records as Ikeda X and offers up airy Brazilian-styled fare. That track will find good company in the Waxist edit of C Soprann H from ‘Tropical Disco Hustle Volume Two’. Once all that sun gets you outside, you will move to the Psychemagik track, and Tiago’s mix of Ess O Ess.

Starting off in the swirling sounds of Hawkwind, we go straight to a superb Pink Floyd re-edit of ‘On The Run’ by Oyama Edit, a Roxy Music track from 1973’s Stranded, a Flying Lizards track from the Patti Palladin period – all these precede a run of electronic re-edits that work well as a group for your listening pleasure.

DJ Harvey’s re-dit of Police’s ‘Voices Inside My Head’ leads us into the debut Rouge Mécanique 12″ – his yet-to-be-topped ‘Witches’, Mike Simonetti gives a pretty awesome Fleetwood Mac re-edit. Suonho handles Brazil masterfully with his João Gilberto re-edit. Dimitri From Paris in his Loisada guise goes disco masterfully (no surprise). Many good tracks here.
